Manifestation is more than just a buzzword; it’s a seemingly mystical force driven by the law of attraction that leads you exactly where you want to be. It can get a bad rep – and some eye rolls – because it’s often associated with a “woo-woo” way of thinking. Manifestation is simply derived from setting goals and having a positive mindset. When you set a clear and confident goal and go after it with gratitude and positivity, there’s a high probability you will achieve it.
If you can dream it…
you can do it. Walt Disney said that line, and although he probably never heard of the word manifestation, he was on the right track. You, above all else, must believe in yourself for manifestation to work.
The clearer the image in your mind is of what you want, the better your chances of achieving it. You have to know a bit more about what you want.
- What industry excites you?
- What company do you desire?
- What’s your job title?
- What floor of the building is your office on?
- What color is your office?
- How many windows are in your office?
- How many plants are on your desk?
It needs to be evident in your mind, so it’s a no-brainer that the life and career you manifested came true!
Life Happens For You, Not to You
Some may believe that manifesting involves accepting whatever life gives to them. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Manifesting your goal career, salary, workplace, etc., is hard work. You must be in a good headspace and be ready to make intentional life changes for it to work.
Once you are clear on your dream, you can set goals to make it happen. With a solid plan and a positive mindset, you have the power to manifest anything.
Once you know your dream and see every detail in your mind, the first and easiest thing to do is write it down. There is something powerful about putting pen to paper. When you see the dream you manifested in your mind existing physically; it elevates it to a more meaningful level. It’s no longer a fantasy; it’s your future.
The 3-6-9 Method
One way to keep your intention at the front of your mind is by following the 3-6-9 method. This is when you write down your goal three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, and nine times in the evening. There is nothing like the constant reminder that you have a goal and are serious about making it your reality.
Three Manifestation Methods for Success
1 – Let Go of Negativity
We hurt our own feelings more than anyone else. We would never say some of the things we say to ourselves to our worst enemy! For the dream you’re manifesting to have a chance at becoming true, you must let go of negative self-talk and limiting beliefs. When you catch a negative thought, acknowledge it, then throw it away. Don’t give it any of your mental space.
2 – You Get What You Give
I made it this far without mentioning energy, but now’s a good time to bring it up. If you are running on empty, struggle to get through the days, and have an Eeyore-like attitude, you will get the same in return. It takes an active effort to exude more positive, uplifting energy into the world. Take time to do something you enjoy, such as yoga in the morning, talking to a cheerful friend, or being outside to help keep yourself in a positive mindset.
3 – Practice Gratitude
Regardless of where you are in life or if everything doesn’t go as planned, make an effort to practice gratitude. Finding something to be thankful for, even on your worst days, is one of the most powerful things you can do to keep a positive mindset. Get started with a gratitude journal where you can write down a few things you are thankful for every morning or night. Feel free to tell people you appreciate them, too! It will make both of your days!
It Will All Be Worth It
No one said it would be easy, but it will be worth it! To solidify your chances of making your intentions a reality, you need a partner who knows your goals and has the tools to help you manifest them. As a career coach, I meet people who want more daily. To achieve more, you sometimes have to alter your habits and routines. I always begin with a conversation that will untangle some of your career threads and help you gain more clarity. From there, you and I can establish your goals and create a plan, so you can finally live your dream life.
